An Evening With Sarah Thomas

An Evening With Sarah Thomas

An evening with marathon swimmer and open water swimming World record holder Sarah Thomas. A very special, one-off Beccles Lido event.

Sarah was the first person to complete four consecutive crossings of the English Channel and the first person to swim a current-neutral swim over 100 miles. She holds the world record for longest, second-, and third-longest current-neutral swims, and various other records in both fresh and salt water categories.

Also in attendance will be our very own local heroine, and newly crowned champion swimmer herself, Iris Ashman, who recently became the first woman to complete the 64km Lake Constance open water swim, having trained at the Lido and been coached by Sarah.

Sarah will host a Q&A session, followed by your chance to meet and chat with Sarah and Iris and discuss all things swimming.

An event not to be missed if you have any interest in distance/open/cold water swimming or in sporting achievement in general!

Tuesday 30th July, 8pm
